Clear gallon jug with federal law forbids sale

I found an old clear gallon jug with liquor only on the bottom and federal law forbids sale or Re-use of this bottle on the side in a diamond plate pattern. Just wanted some info on what type of bottle it was used for and what time period and of course price value of this gallon jug would much be appreciated

    They key to ID is to find out who held the Rectifier permit #162. Unfortunately I have no info on this #


    One would have to find a labeled example to get any further...
