Pls Help Identify Provenance: pair of interior-painted 16-1/2"H vases
I am the volunteer appraiser for an all-volunteer charity thrift shop; we sell solely donated goods, & ALL our proceeds provide dental & periodintal care for needy kids.
We just received this pair of vases: interior-painting is chipping away, pontil breakaway is jagged & uneven, absolutely no sign of mold-casting (seams, etc.). 16-1/2" high, widest diam.c.8".
My 13 years of appraising experience suggest central European, pre-Victorian -- but caring for our young clients depends on accurate pricing of our wonderful donations! So, if you can help with narrowing down the provenance of these vases, MANY thanks!

I think you are on the right track age-wise and origin-wise.
I would call them decalcomania / eglomise and they seem vaguely like Bohemian glass, at least as far as the glass and the pontil marks.
My feeling is that given the condition we are not talking big value although I simply do not know enough about them to give you a precise value.
Thanks, Chris, helpful. :-)
