Owens Illinois 600mL IV Bottle - 1932?
Hi all,
I was off the coast of Virginia the other day and found this bottle. By using the date and plant codes on the bottom I believe I've narrowed it down to a 1932 Owens Illinois bottle produced in Gas City Indiana. I am trying to figure out exactly what it's used for - it looks like an old IV bottle (has the stem inside and the "air, inlet, outlet markings on the cap). The mold code doesn't appear to be of much use ("6-"). Any clue what this is exactly? I looked through an entire 1933 Owens Illinois catalog and couldn't pinpoint it or even find anything with 600mL markings let alone IV bottles.

I am thinking this is an IV (intravenous) drip bottle as you say.

We are used to seeing them in clear plastic bags now for so many decades that we forget about the days before plastic!
