Clear Glass pitcher / jug with coat of arms and handle

I have a very nice glass jug with handle and glass stopper. It has a gold coat of arms which looks like a two headed Eagle with a crown on top. On the base it has L9517 D-126 58 62 and an I in a circle. The stopper has a cork seal and the same coat of arms embossed on it. On the base is Federal Law Forbids the sale or reuse of this bottle.

I would like to know what it is.

I can tell you it is a whiskey bottle, and that I have associated the D-126 marking on the base with the Seagrams company, the Calvert brand and the Old Drum brand. (association based on labeled examples)

I would need to see a photo to tell you more.

If you search ebay for "Wolfschmidts Vodka Pitcher" you will see a variety of styles. Apparently they made a bunch...variation on a theme.
