Found this bottle at a construction site. Some other items at the site were clearly 70 years or older, but I have no clue about bottles. Is this anything interesting?
Yes, this is an earlier 20th century bottle which bears the Owens-Illinois manufacturer mark. One frequently sees whiskey bottles in this era with cobweb embossing - I guess this somehow signified barrel aging (or perhaps cobwebs in the head from too much drinking :-)
