Thanks Chris The embossing was what convinced me that the bottle once contained alcohol. i have spent days trying to find out more about it but have found nothing. I find it to be the prettiest in my collection and am quite curious to know more about it along with quite a few others i recently dug up.

Your bottle dates (likely) from the 40s or 50s.
The key to identifying is the "D-2" marking on the base which indicates the company. I have not yet tracked this one down.
