CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT KIND OF JAR THIS IS?
HELLO IM TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT THIS JAR WAS USED FOR, MEDICINES? BITTERS? POSIONS? ITS SHORT AND ROUND PROBABLY 2 INCHES TALL OR SO. IT IS THREADED BUT THERE IS A LINE AROUND THE TOP LIKE THE LIP WAS APPLIED AND THERES 2 SEAMS ON THE SIDES RUNNING ALL THE WAY UP AND DOWN AND ON THE BOTTOM THERE IS A CIRCLE AND INSIDE ACROSS THE TOP OF THE CIRCLE IT SAYS 1528, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE IS A CAPITOL B IN A SMALL CIRCLE, TO THE LEFT OF THE B IS AN 0, AND THE THE RIGHT OF THE B IS 10 AND BELOW IS 40. The "B" in circle could very well be the mark of Brockway Glass Co. of Brockway, PA.
It dates from the mid 20th century.
