Help identify ruby red glass fragment

Hi. I would like to ID this 1 inch long piece of vintage glass. I found it on a beach in NYC adjacent to a landfill that was capped in 1936. It is a dark ruby color and I believe it is a pressed piece . It has a faceted top and a concave bottom. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    I am wondering if it could be part of a auto or truck tail light, or other lighting lens.

    It is difficult to tell from your photos what the whole object might look like..

    At least a dozen others were found in the area. It's glass about 1 inch long. Perhaps they were attached to some type of decorative piece. Thanks
