PD&Co Bottle

edited March 2012 in Question and Answer
Hi again. I have an odd shaped bottle that I would like to date and possibly classify. It has no label. The bottom mark is P D & Co. 78... I know this to be Parke Davis and Company. I believe they dealt in pharmceuticals. I do not know what the 78 stands for. This is also a weird shaped bottle with I think a cork in the top. It is concave on 2 sides. Any help dating it? Any ideas as to its contents?

Can't really date without a photo.

They had a huge product line; the label on the bottle would tell most of the story. You might browse completed ebay auctions for "parke davis bottle"image (requires an ebay account and logging in) - I found 95 bottles, many of which had labels.

Then there is the parke davis catalogimage. A research project? Yes. There is no simple answer here.

And try out a new web browser some time...takes a few minutes to install and you might actually like it better :-)
