Need information on this bottle: green - made in Italy- top half looks like a bugle- bottom half like a drum - 4 stars around base of bugle. Wine bottle? Oil bottle? Year?
I've seen where there have been several views to my bottle. I am in such hopes that someone can identify it for me. I have googled countless hours and have been unable to find any information. HELP!
This bottle is new to me. You can call it - generically - a figural bottle. From the best that I can tell, it is a 20th century machine made bottle, likely earlier to mid 20th c.
There is a rare and valuable 19th century bitters bottle called McKEEVERS ARMY BITTERS which was re-imagined by Wheaton Glassworks 100 years later as MCGIVERS AMERICAN ARMY BITTERS, The latter were very popular collectibles - both of these bottles are quite similar to yours.
Presumably this was a promotional item for wine or some other liquor.
