Want to know about this old bottle I found.

It is a soda bottle shape, it has a green tint to the glass, the glass is thick. On the bottom is a large "P". The front has the word " REGISTERED" and a couple inches below that "7 1/2 FL OZ". It does have a faint uneven seam running down both sides. The glass has a lot of flaws in it that look like wrinkles. I will try to get a good picture up on here too.

  • This is a crown top soda bottle from the earlier 20th century.

    According to Bottle Makers and Their Marks by Julian Toulouse, the "P" mark on the base is for the Pierce Glass Company of Port Allegany, PA. This plant was in operation since 1917 and was still in business when Mr. Toulouse wrote his book in the early 70s. I would be surprised if it is still in business today - glass bottle manufacturing has largely vanished from the US.
