Olive Oil Bottle

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone would have a little background on a bottle I found the other day.

This bottle of olive oil is currently half full (or half empty depending how you see it, haha.) The cork is is broken flush from the bottle neck. Also, the neck itself is a bit crooked. There's no clear date to reveal how old it is. This is what the label indicates:

HUILE D'OLIVE
PURE OLIVE OIL
Specially Grown and Prepared
at Nice France
For
Holbrook & Co.
London and
Birmingham
England

I've also took a picture of the bottle as well. I also wonder if there's any worth for this bottle? Thanks in Advance.

  • It might be helpful to see a closer shot of the label, but judging from the characteristics of the bottle, I would say this is later 19th century.

It does indeed have some value although it would help immensely if the label were in better condition.
  • Thanks for your response. Here's a closer shot of the label.
