Bottle Found Digging the Foundation for my New Home

The excavator found this bottle while digging the foundation for my new home in Rutherford NJ. Can you tell me anyting about it. The bottle is 12 inches tall and has W. W. initials in script at the bottom. I hope the pictures help. Thanks

    This is a late 19th or early 20th century whiskey bottle. It is hard to tell from the photos but it may have a 3-piece mold (horizontal seam at shoulder for 2-piece body and neck is the 3rd part)

    I am not sure what the "W W" embossing stands for - except it is a good bet the second is "Whiskey" :-)
  • Thank you for the information. After looking closer at the bottle, it is a 3 piece mold. After wipping some dirt off I could the lines where the molds meet. What's the significance of the 3-piece mold?
