Help in ID Please!
I am a recreational scuba diver and found a glass bottle I was hoping you experts could help in identifying. Bottle was found 2 miles off the coast of Block Island, Rhode Island.
It’s a clear glass bottle, bearing ‘Federal Law Forbids Sale or Reuse of this bottle’ near the neck. It has a seam running the length of the bottle and ending about an inch from the top. The bottle also has five finger impressions in the glass, almost forming a perfect grip for drinking from the bottle. Bottom is difficult to read as it hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned of barnacles yet, but APPEARS to read ‘1D1 57-55’ in the middle and ‘des.rat.applied for’ in circular formation below the aforementioned.
