medicine bottle

Wondering about the age of this bottle as well. It looks like the seem runs up two of the corners instead of the sides and it is seemed through the lip. Looks like it used a cork. The bottom reads Illinois, has the number 11 in one direction, a logo, then the number 2 in a different direction. Front has ounces on left and cc on right, 4oz.

  • Am not sure about the dating specific to the word ILLINOIS, but can say the mark beneath was used by Owens-Illinois after 1929. Am guessing this is 1930s vintage.

This is a generic pharmacy bottle - a pharmacist would order these in cases to fill prescriptions, attaching his own labels.
