Can anybody identify? It has a very interesting art deco handle at the neck (she likes the plants that have grown inside it?

  • Any markings on the base? Design patent number by chance?

  • No markings whatsoever

  • She does live in a very old farmhouse property

  • I suspect this is an oil or vinegar product bottle but am not certain. It is machine made, it is earlier 20th century, as you say it has a distinct art deco appearance. It reminds me of the style of a designer named E. W. Fuerst who worked for Owens-Illinois who filed a number of bottle design patents.

At some point I will make public my database of bottle design patents - currently it is a work in progress, never seem to find the time to roll it out to my website.

  • Thank you!!!

  • I really really like that little tab handle at the top, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like that.

  • tho I do concure with Chris, I have similar vinegar bottles from 20s and 30s dumps.
