Found this jar about 50 years ago. About 10 inches high with pour spout. Keystone emblem that says Novelty Electric Company 5th and Locust St. Phila, PA..
Yes. You have what is called a battery jar. This is the container for an early era wet cell battery. The "guts" would sit inside....consisting of a carbon rod, etc. and there would be a cover - most covers I have seen are ceramic.
These are very collectible.
I am familiar with the common ones - this particular one I do not recall seeing before.
