  • That is a wonderful yellow amber - collectors, myself included, like the yellows and yellow ambers because the tend to be scarce.

    What are the letters on the base? I can check the bottle manufacturer..

  • This is a late 19th century bottle - in some ways it looks a bit older, but the crown stopper was invented in the 1890s..
  • The book "Richmond Beers" by Danny Morris & Jeff Johnson notes that the Home Brewing Company was originally the Peter Stumpf Brewing Company, which changed its name in 1897. They also produced sodas, mineral water and ice. A picture of your bottle (same color too) is on a page denoting breweries from 1906-1907 and 1908-1909.
