Help with decanter ID, please

New guy here and I haven't seen one of these on this forum (or any other).

There are no markings. Bottom is highly polished and has a ground, polished pontil. Base and sides are all thick and bulge inward. There are very, very faint seams, or what may be seams on opposite corners but no seams at the neck.

It's a beautiful piece, but is it of any significance?

  • This is a lovely decanter with wonderful copper wheel engraving. Based on its details, one might just conclude this is an earlier 19th century or perhaps even late 18th century piece.

Something about it looks too modern to me - I would really have to handle it to give you a better idea. Am I seeing that there is no base wear at all?

  • There are tiny little scratches on all the corners and around the edge of the bottom. See fotos below.
