Amber screw top jar - marked "Duraglas"

edited August 2016 in Question and Answer
It is amber in color with the Duraglas name on one side, The bottom has 9 a circle with a 1 or an I inside it 6 , below that is a straight mark Possibly an I, Then below that is C-2954. It is sealed with a very rusty screw type lid and has a wire twisted tightly around the lid with a length of the twisted wire hanging down which has a bell shape metal on the end of it. I am interested in both value, and advice as to substance. Am curious as to what it is , and where to take it.

  • The "Duraglas" mark tells me this is a early to mid 20th century machine-made bottle. Plain machine made bottles of this era have little, if any, value.

The possibility of value here begins if a label is present and the object is in a perfect or nearly perfect state of preservation...
