1970's cobalt glass and brass votive
My boyfriend just bought me a cobalt glass and brass votive at a picker's store. The man who sold it to us was unsure of its age or origin. It says it was made in india and has a number of warnings on the bottom. It looked 70's or 80's and the closest match I could find was from the 70's however I can't find one that's the same. I figure it either means it's not rare at all and no one really cares or it is rare and not many people have one. I love to know the origin and some history of any piece I own. I love it amd it only cost $7 but i still like to know. It appears to be handmade however the warnings on the bottom lead me to beleive it was clearly made for commercial selling purposes. The glass appears to have been blown in and is one solid piece that bevels out of the brass itself. If there is anyone who may know anything even if its that its not that interesting I'd love to hear it!!!!
