picture of both. looks the same at a glance. but

different too. one on the left is a little smoky in color

here is the big difference.

so help. which one's characteristics makes it older then the other. Thanks Lynn

    Thanks for posting.

    First off, the molds are slightly different. Note the slight difference in the lettering.

    I would say your left example with its circular valve mark on the base is earlier than the stippled or textured base. Take yourself over to Bill Lockhart's site (https://sha.org/bottle/bases.htm#Valve%20marks) to read up on valve marks and stippling.
