Medicine bottle (Help find answer)

Hi, This is a gem I found in the woods near by and I’m not sure what it is. The closest I’ve come is when I search “Duraglas 3vi” but the symbol on the front isn’t the same.

The bottle is about 6 and a half- 7 inches tall. Has a weird “z3” symbol on the front by the “VI”. Seam goes right up each side, another one goes right around the top of the neck (right under where the cap screws on). It had a metal cap.

Ill post a photo of everything. 👍🏼

  • Also, I’m new to this group. Sorry if I did anything wrong thus far. Lol

  • Thanks for posting.

Your generic pharmacy bottle was produced by the millions for prescriptions. The pharmacist would fill and affix a label. You can see these bottles in the 1933 Owens-Illinois catalog (https://sha.org/bottle/Typing/OI1933/OI1933c.pdf) but I suspect they were made by other companies as well.

It would seem the 3Z embossing is some kind of mold imperfection...hard to say.

The big mystery - why someone put a screwdriver inside this bottle!!

  • Very true lol, I was confused about that too! Thank you very much Chris!! :)
