Can you help a novice identify these bottles?

edited October 2010 in Question and Answer
Hello all,
Can you help me identify these bottles...date, value, etc.?

1. The larger bottle is clear with "Sample Pulmonine" on the front. The side reads "Cushing Med Supply Co." and the other said reads "Boston Mass."

2. The next smaller amber bottle reads "Humprey's Homeo Med Co. New York"

3. The third tiny clear bottle is octogonal in shape. It has a couple words embossed but for the life of me I can't read them even with a magnifying glass. I need to figure a way to make the letters raise so I can read them.

I have many, many more of all types of old bottles I have recently found in a dump dig.

Thank you.
Mark

Humphreys Homeopathic medicines have been around since the 1850s - there are many different bottles and embossing variants. There are tons of vials in their paper packaging found online, and they are definitely collectible. The company is still in business. See http://www.humphreysusa.com/about-history.htm

See the photo below for an 1881 ad for Pulmonine which tells all about what it is. Your bottle is later than 1881...probably early 20th century.
