Covered pontil scar
I recently saw what I thought could be an early blown footed bowl. However, instead of having a pontil scar there was a convex blob of the same glass as the rest of the piece covering the spot where a pontil scar is normally found. Has anyone encountered this? It looks like it could have been done to cover a pontil scar or ???? Thanks.
