Fisch's Bitters Misprint

edited August 2012 in Question and Answer
I have an Aqua blue Fisch's Bitters bottle that i believe is a reproduction. On the bottom of said bottle, it says "Made In Tiwan" Does this add value to it? Or does it not matter?

  • Presumably, the writing is "Made in Taiwan"

The original Dr. Fisch's Bitters bottle from the 19th century has been largely reproduced and replicated.

You will find a number of examples on ebayimage

Without looking, I would guess they sell in the $2-10 range.
  • It is supposed to say 'Made in Taiwan' but it is missing the first A making it 'Tiwan' im assuming that it is misprint.. and i knew the fisch's bitters bottles were largely reproduced.. ive spent alot of time attempting to research bottles... Still have a few unidentified pieces....
