What was this jug used for and likely how old?

We found this jug in our back yard were wondering what it was used for and about how old it should be? Clear glass little ring finger grip half gallon molded in front top and numbers 57 and 202 on the bottom 2 thin seam lines. Vinegar, apple juice, moonshine or what?
