Federal Law Forbids

This is one of the bottles I found digging in a trash dump on our property. I have done some reading about the "Federal Law Forbids" and by the info on the bottom of the bottle the date should be 1947? It even has a small black metal lid which is short compared to all other whiskey/vodka/gin bottle lids I have seen. I don't know what liquor would have been in this bottle. It is laying down on two napkins and can see the over-lap of the napkins through the bottle, it isn't cracked.

    Presumably. As I say in my webpage on the subject, I have noticed variations on the embossing that leave, in some cases, questions as to the significance of the numbers.

    The circle-B mark is for Brockway Glass Co., Brockway, PA. The company made canning jars marked "Brockway"
