Pottery Jug found in Anegada BVI

This was found buried in the sand in Anegada, BVI - where there were many shipwrecks in the 1800’s. It is not a round or canteen shaped jug but more beautifully shaped wider and more rectangular in width. It is like stoneware pottery - color is beautiful, and maybe the top will give some indication of age. I haven’t attempted to clean the bottom or handle which could help with era and origin. Any idea of origin or age?

    Your jug or flagon is of UK origin I believe, definitely not US.
