Hello, I have a couple old Bottles I want re-use at my Bar maybe add some whiskey. Looking for help to find replacement corks or possibly clear plastic cork to re-seal bottles

  • You mean a cork liner / gasket for the glass stopper.

I believe you are on your own to custom fit a solution. I have seen thin sheets of cork with adhesive backing - wrapping a strip around the stopper would be easier than finding the right outside diameter cork and drilling it. Given the softness of cork not just any drill bit is going to work for that.

  • Stoppers of cork or of black neoprene rubber are commonly available in a well-stocked USA hardware store. Either of which can be drilled. I have used sheet cork sparingly . . . re-lined the mouth of a Mellin's Food jar and replaced the liner seal on a couple of pewter caps for whiskey flasks. I used rubber cement, if I recall correctly.
