Demi john
I bought this with some other bottles at an auction years ago. I became curious about it and now I can’t figure it out. On the mouth of the bottle it has a patent date of Feb 27, 1877. It is a screw top. I did learn that it may be from the same guy, Oakman who did the glass electric insulators. Does anyone know anything more on this topic or have any bottles that have that patent date? It’s a beautiful piece in excellent condition. I just want to know more about it and if there are other Demi johns like it out there. Thank you!
