Fleckenstein bottles
We recently found a few cases of green bottles in an old garage we purchased. They are embossed with "FLECKENSTEIN" on one side, "COLUMBIA, PA" on the other side and near the bottom of the bottle "CONTENTS 7 FLUID OZ." Also there are 8 5-point stars embossed around the bottle just below the neck. The wooden crate is stamped with "FLECKENSTEIN COLUMBIA PA" on the side and "PHONE 443 X" on the end. Do you have any idea how old these are, what would have been in them (beer or soda), and how much they would be worth. I searched the Internet and found a Fleckenstein brewery but it was in Faribault, not Columbia. I emailed someone from that website and they did not know anything about these.
(I have several pictures but can't figure out how to down load more than one at a time.)

Age would be mid 20th century.
Value - a big hmmmm - Individually, the bottles lack the special graphic like an elephant or a dirigible or something of the sort that separates the great from the ho-hum. Perhaps there is someone who would pay $5 each, but who knows. Collectively they are a bit more interesting to have the entire flat with the case, but I emphasize the word "bit"
Hope this helps.
