What type of bottle is this

Comments

  • About all you can say is that it is a liquor bottle based on the "FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS.." embossing. Armstrong Cork Co. of NJ is the bottle manufacturer. As to the brand, you would need to start a hunt for a labeled example.

I associate this shape of bottle with a cordial or aperitif - think creme de menthe for example.

The bottle may date to 1947 with emphasis on MAY. I would rather say mid 20th century to be safe.

  • Wait, wait - just found a 1952 ad showing this exact bottle... on eBay. Nuyens cordials. https://www.ebay.com/itm/140920773601
