Rorer Medicine Bottles I found digging in Kentucky. PLEASE HELP! TIA!!
I've recently stumbled upon a new hobby, "Bottle Digging". I have found this Rorer Medicine Bottle
and would greatly appreciate any help I can get!! I've googled it and have only been able to find
a 4 ounce bottle and a 6 ounce bottle. I'll include pictures as well as try to describe it to the best of
ability. It is just over 6.5 inches tall. Brown glass, (obviously), On the bottom it says 12 oz. on the first row.
14 with what looks like a #1 that's circled 7721 and the 3rd row says W.H.R. (Which I guess is William H. Rorer?
Any help dating this bottle and maybe an approximate value? This is actually the 2nd one of these that I
have found. The only difference between the 2 is the other one on the 2nd row on the bottom has the
14 circle #1 and 7525 instead of 7721. I don't have any pictures of the other just yet. Thank you in advance
and any advice that anyone would like to share with a "Newbie", to bottle digging/collecting would be
GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you in advance and Happy Digging!!
Dave

The letter I in a circle at the center of the base embossing is the mark of Owens-Illinois who manufactured the bottle. Here are some links to articles by Bill Lockhart which will help you date and decipher that mark:
