Found bottle "H.D. Rawlings London"

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to the antique bottle world and I haven't been able to come up with any information about a bottle I found in my Aunt's attic. It's a crown top dark green bottle with raised lettering. It says "H.D. Rawlings London". On the bottom it's marked with an "R". I've been able to find information about the company, but none about the bottle itself. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

  • This soda or beer bottle has a "crown top" - a name in reference to the closure which was patented in the 1890s but not widely used until 10-20 years later.

The presence of a mold seam which goes all the way to the top edge of the lip would suggest a bit later date for the bottle.
  • Thank you for that information. Do you think it could have been from the late 1800's? In my research I've learned that in 1891 H.D. Rawlings was bought by R. Whites lemonade which is why I ask. Also, do you have any idea as to what the value may be?
