Red decanter.

Growing up I was told this is a hand blown ship decanter, maybe early 1800. It was passed down to my sister and I. We are looking to find out any information on it and might sell it. The tip is broke off and is in the bottle.

This is without question a modern piece, meaning mid 20th century or newer. Look it over carefully for any sign of a makers mark.

Even if it does have some pedigree, the damage to the stopper is going to hurt the value considerably.
