War time bottle on WW2 airfield in England
Hi. We found this bottle on Parham airfield in Suffolk, England. It seem to have the date on the bottom 44, so highly likely it was drunk by airmen or ground crew of the airfield during the war. We would love to know what drink it contained at the time. Thanks.

I'll offer my opinion as an amateur. After prohibition in the U.S. all alcohol bottles (post 1935) had that inscription about federal law forbidding resale...
Further, alcohol bottle manufacturers had to have their registration number embossed on the bottle just before the last 2 digits of the date of manufacture. So I think their reg. number may have been 13, and the manufacture date is 1944
So I wonder if this was an import from the US?
