Fancy 1830s decanter
Hi
I've been told that this is a 1830s fancy type decanter and would appreciate opinions on authenticity. It has minor wear under the base and a slight misty tone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks

Thanks for posting this.
Yes, it's definitely an early 19th century decanter with wheel cut decoration and what appears to be a polished pontil mark on the base. I would lean toward calling it European in origin although it may be American. It could be a Pittsburgh area piece - I can safely say I don't have enough knowledge of the wide variety of Pittsburgh wares to know..
