Unmarked Green Bottle - Wilmington NC
I discovered this green glass bottle in a job site excavation near the water front in Wilmington NC. It does not appear to have any engravings, but has what appears to be remanence of an old label/ adhesive around the neck and body of the bottle. I also do not see any appearance of a seam. It’s roughly 8” in height, does not seem symmetrical and has an uneven lip around the opening.
Would anyone have any information on what this bottle could have been used for and the approximate time frame?

Looks like a wine split, probably champagne. If the lip is irregular, it may date the bottle to the TOC20.
I have one just like it. I thought it was an old beer bottle. It’s heavy!
Looks like a hock wine, you can read about them on the SHA. Link below.
Definitely not a hock wine.
