Value of these bottles?

Just acquired these generic black glass bottles. I believe them to be authentic. Any help on value would be greatly appreciated.

  • I can open only some of these images. I see two bottles: a bocksbeutel and a squat bottle, perhaps a scotch whiskey. Bocksbeutel bottles don't typically have a handle, and I am wondering if it might be a cantil imported from Portugal.

These bottles look like they may be from the turn of the 20th Century. They don't have a great value for a collector, probably less than $20 each, half that at a bottle show if you could find a buyer.

The Bocksbeutel is a type of wine bottle with the form of a flattened ellipsoid. It is commonly used for wines from Franconia in Germany, but is also used for some Portuguese wines, in particular rosés, where the bottle is called cantil, and in rare cases for Italian wine (in this case called pulcianella) and Greek wine.

  • Thanks for the info. I’ve never seen a squat with this shape before.
