edited February 2012 in Question and Answer
i found this bottle in Connecticut, 1970 buried in the woods. it's approx 12" tall and VERY dark green/amber color...it has a lead seal at the top. it has 2 seams that go up to the lead seal....i can't feel any seam on the inside of the neck. can anyone tell me the age of it and any other info. thank you (i moved to England last year and brought the bottle with me.

  • This might just be a second trip across the Atlantic for this bottle. It is a "case gin" - often containing a Dutch made product. This example is late 19th century, but the form existed at least a 100 years before.
  • so it's kind of like a boomerang bottle.....3000+ miles in one direction and 3000+ miles back again. thank you for the info!
