Green bottle flask with eagle
Hi all
Am new to this very interesting board. wow.
I have just bought this flask, which does look that old, but would love to laern its origin and age.
Many many thanks.
The flask has a pontil mark (rough)
Scrached to the left side B-13 and to the right 973...perhaps a number before that which could be a 1.
Or is it 913 ?
Regards
norman

This mold is known in the bottle collecting community as the "concentric eagle" (concentric rings surrounding the eagle) The original of this flask is fairly scarce and definitely valuable. Yours is a 1970s reproduction made by Owens Illinois. I believe that is the date 1975 on the base.
Even these reproductions are not exactly common and do have some decorative and minor collector value.
