Hi - new to this forum. Trying to find out info about a crate of old bottles I bought today. They have very rough, sharp, unfinished necks and I wondered why?

This is really interesting. These would appear to be a group lot of bottles unfinished without their applied lips.
It would be great if you could provide a few photos of an individual bottle...top showing the lip/mouth, bottom of the bottle, etc.
