Can anyone help identify?
I picked up the strangest container, it does not sit straight and has a strange hole in the bottom and a dip on the side of bottom. Can anyone help me identify what it may have been used for and the age? I found it very interesting, especially the fact that it is kind of off kilter. I will post some pics.

Hi - you have a glass vessel masquerading as a bottle. Rather, it's a lamp base! That slot on the edge of the base is for the lamp cord.
