Antique purple onion applied seal bottle help identify

Comments

  • Any thoughts on this old booze bottle ,Thanks
  • Here is what a real one looks like...they are fairly rare with an applied seal.. the form would be what is called an "onion" which would date primarily from the 18th century. A real one would always be in black glass (dark olive green)

Yours is a modern replica - late 20th century. Museum shops sometimes sell them. Historic Jamestown has an operating glassblowing exhibit that sells replica glassware.
