Carstair's Whiskey bottle - federal law forbids
I have a large glass bottle marked on the top front, "CARSTAIRS (face)EST 1788. Then on the bottom front it says, The Carstair. On the back it says,"FEDERAL LAW FORBIDS SALE OR RE-USE OF THIS BOTTLE" On the bottom it says,"D850 9 S 8 Made in the USA." Then on each side it has The Carstairs, in cursive. It is 13 in. tall and about 4 1/4 in. wide. It is clear glass. Sorry I don't have a smart phone to take a picture to load on here.

Nonetheless, 20th century liquor bottles like this without their labels and/or content have little or no value. Yet... Like fine spirits, they have to age..
