I am trying to find anything out about this bottle. I am not having much luck. Any info an possible value would be appreciated. Thank you! Kevan

Hi and thanks for posting.

For the benefit of others the full writing on the label is Golden Crown Ess. Jamaica GINGER

The bottle itself is what collectors would call a pumpkinseed whiskey bottle. It is no coincidence that such a bottle would be used to contain essence of Jamaica Ginger

The age of the bottle would be very late 19th century or very early 20th century.

Jamaica Ginger was a highly alcoholic concoction and for many a way around temperance movements. Booze that was not explicitly labeled as such. It was not a whole lot different that the high alcohol medicine and bitters concoctions that were common in 19th century America.

Hi Chris Thanks for the info. Any value to speak of?

One approach to value is to review what people have paid for similar bottles on eBay. For bottles, it is a fairly good indicator although not perfect in all cases.

This is a similar example, although I would say a bit better because the label is in better condition plus is has the proprietor, town and state listed on the label.

Actually, essence of Jamaica ginger was more than a vehicle for alcohol. Do a google search for "Jake Leg" and see what the addiction was all about. Here are a couple of other forms of jake bottles:
