Green Francisco Undurraga Chile wine bottle with seal, date help?

edited October 2017 in Question and Answer

I'm trying to find some info about the date of this bottle. I've seen it called and antique and dated from the late 1800s to around 1940 but I can't identify the marks on the bottom to help me figure it out. The seal reads Francisco Undurraga Est. Sca (or Sta) ana with Chile and the initials M.R. in the middle. The bottom has an F W U and a big triangle with a 5 in the middle. It measures about 5 1/4 inches wide and 6 3/4 tall and has one mold seam that runs from the base to the lip of the bottle. Any info would be appreciated!

  • I cannot find any listing for the mark on your bottle. Age-wise if the mold seam goes to the top of the lip it is machine made (and the photos suggest that) then it is earlier 20th century...
  • Thanks so much. Glad to have more clear info.
