PEAR bottle

edited August 2017 in Question and Answer
Thank You for the wonderful resource this website is and continues to be. I have a bottle that is marked PEAR on the bottom. It is approx 11" tall and the base is 2 3/8". No chips or cracks. I appreciate a value and some identification. Thanks so much!

  • One sees a fair number of bottles these days which are aqua in color and have some appearance of "hand-craftedness" to them. However, as is the case with yours, this is a new bottle.

I have seen plenty of such bottles sold as decorative wares in kitchen / bath / household goods stores, but this one may have contained a pear liqueur or other liquid....

  • OK Thanks! I know where there are some old bottles buried in the dirt where I grew up. Probably from early 1900's. I'm thinking of digging some up. What is my best resource in knowing which ones have value?
  • I frequently suggest posting a group photo here - I can quickly comment on the lot and suggest specific items for an individual pic if necessary. Glad to help!
