information and value of clear glass etched bottles with cork stopper with metal topper with ring

edited October 2011 in Question and Answer
My Mother gave me three bottles which came from her mother. Not sure of their value or age. Two are about 8" tall, the third is 5 1/2" tall. Other than size, they are all identical, except one of the large bottles has "1000" on the bottom. They are heavy for their size.
They are shaped sort of like apothecary jars, the large ones with 6" straight sides to the shoulder. They are all etched with a floral pattern 2/3 around the bottle, with an oval in the center framing a floral design. They each have a cork stopper with a metal topper with a ring pull. The topper has metal prongs that go through the center of the cork, holding the pieces together.
There is a seam up both sides of the jar that extends to the lip.
Any idea of age, value, origin, original use? Any info you can provide would be most apprecaited.
